We often advise our clients, some of the most senior leaders within their organisations, to share more with their teams. To a degree, vulnerability can be strength. Sharing information that is private with others gives them more ways to understand you, makes them feel that they are part of your inner circle and, importantly, prompts them to share more information about themselves. But NEVER tell too much – rarity and potential are more highly valued than ubiquity and experience.
